This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information You Provide

• First Name: Collected during onboarding to personalize your experience.
• Overthinking Triggers & Goals: Your selected trigger categories (e.g., relationships, work, sleep) and personal goals, used to tailor the App experience.
• Voice & Speech Data: When you use the Overthinking Check feature, you speak into the microphone. Your speech is processed using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework to convert it to text. The resulting text is sent to our servers for analysis. We do not store audio recordings.
• Thought Entries: Text you enter or that is generated from your spoken reflections, including raw thoughts, facts, stories, feared outcomes, and follow-up reflections.
• Tool Usage: Records of which wellness tools you use (e.g., breathing exercises, grounding, pause timer) and their duration.
• Notification Preferences: Your choices regarding reminder timing and frequency.

Information Collected Automatically

• Basic Analytics Events: We log anonymous usage events (e.g., "onboarding completed," "reset saved") to understand how the App is used. These events do not contain personally identifiable information.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or browsing history.
• We do not create user accounts or require login credentials.

2. How We Use Your Information

• AI-Powered Analysis: Transcribed text from your spoken reflections is sent to our backend server, which forwards it to OpenAI's API for overthinking pattern analysis. This analysis helps identify cognitive distortions and provides personalized feedback. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy and does not use API inputs to train their models.
• Personalization: Your selected triggers and goals are used to customize the content and recommendations you see within the App.
• Notifications: If you grant permission, we send local notifications (e.g., evening reminders, follow-up prompts). These are scheduled on your device and do not involve external push notification servers.
• Improving the App: Anonymized analytics help us understand feature usage and improve the App experience.
